I would just like to point out that before it all began I had a true wish for my labour to be as “natural” as possible – no epidural or interventions or anything chemical.
Interestingly enough, that wish changed very quickly right after I formed another deep wish – to die. What are these pains?! I used to think I could take pain rather well, but I suppose that 37 hours of induction teach you one or two things about what you can and cannot take.
Maybe next time I’d do it a-la-natural.
